Eeshani Kandpal is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Development (CGD) in Washington, DC, where her research focuses on gender and women's economic empowerment, early-life nutrition, and global health financing. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois and has published extensively in economics, global health, and nutrition journals. Prior to CGD, she was a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s research department. Her research combines rigorous empirical methods with policy-relevant questions across global development.
