David Barona Grajales works as a Data Associate for IPA's Global Research & Data Science (GRDS) team. He previously served as a Research Associate with IPA's Applied Research & Methods (ARM) Group, where he contributed to the Poverty Probability Index as well as other key projects within the group’s portfolio. Before joining IPA, David worked as a Research Analyst on the project “Asking about Violence: Improving Ethics in Violence Research,” a collaborative initiative by the University of Illinois, the University of California, and the Universidad de los Andes. In addition, he served as a Research and Data Analyst for projects implemented by USAID and Chemonics International, as well as a Research Assistant for the Central Bank of Colombia. He holds a BA in Economics from the Universidad del Valle, Colombia.
