Daniela is a Senior Research Associate at IPA Colombia. In this role, she works on research projects to understand gang recruitment and reduce organized crime in Medellín. She has experience designing, monitoring, and evaluating programs and policies on poverty reduction and security. Previously, at IPA, Daniela worked at the City Office of Security, Coexistence, and Justice in Bogotá, the Colombian House of Representatives, and the National Planning Department, among other public institutions. She holds an MPP from the University of Chicago, an MSc in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, and a BA in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
