Daniel is a Senior Data Specialist for IPA's Global Research & Data Science (GRDS) team. In this role, he provides senior technical support to country offices and projects, contributes to GRDS’s Data Science and AI initiatives, and helps strengthen technical standards, code review practices, and reproducible workflows across IPA. He previously served as a Senior Research Associate for IPA Colombia. Before joining IPA, Daniel served as a consultant at the National Road Safety Observatory in Colombia and the Inter-American Development Bank. In these roles, Daniel was responsible for planning and implementing program evaluations on transportation, air-quality, and road safety interventions. He also conducted scientific research on these topics, leading to publications at each institution. Daniel holds an MS in Spatial, Transport, and Environmental Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a MSc in Economics from Universidad del Rosario, and a BSc in Economics from Universidad del Rosario.
