Celine is a Research Scientist for IPA’s Applied Research & Methods (ARM) Group, focusing on methodological studies improving the quality of data collected by IPA. As part of the Research Methods Initiative, she currently studies survey modes, enumerator training, and the measurement of soft skills. She has a background in (international) public opinion and social science surveys, and has conducted research on gender beliefs and gender gaps in STEM education in Rwanda. Celine holds a PhD in Survey Methodology from the University of Leuven, as well as Master’s degrees in Management Information Systems from the University of Antwerp, Statistics from the University of Leuven, and Data, Economics, and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
