Andrew Beath is a Young Professional in the World Bank's Office of the Chief Economist for East Asia and the Pacific. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2010, Andrew was based in Kabul, where he oversaw the design and implementation of the randomized impact evaluation of the National Solidarity Program, the largest development program in Afghanistan. Andrew also designed and implemented a quasi-experimental evaluation of a national rural access program in Afghanistan and advised efforts to build local capacity in impact evaluation and survey administration.
Since joining the World Bank, Andrew has advised or participated in the design and implementation of various impact evaluations in Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Vietnam, while also contributing to the World Bank's "Afghanistan in Transition: Looking Beyond 2014" report. Andrew holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Government at Harvard University and a Master of Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School .
