Alec Torralba is a Senior Research Associate at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Philippines, where she supports agriculture and climate, consumer protection, and financial inclusion projects. She also leads the implementation of the Embedded Evidence Lab initiatives, including integrating artificial intelligence (AI) tools in government systems, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) support, and the application of the Poverty Probability Index (PPI) in targeting for government programs. Prior to joining IPA, Alec worked in the market research industry, specializing in ad hoc studies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
