Ala Alrababah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University. He completed his Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Immigration Policy Lab at ETH Zurich. He was formerly a junior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and graduated with a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College. His research focuses on immigrants, refugees, and political violence primarily in the Middle East, drawing on a combination of fieldwork, experimental and quasi-experimental methods, and text analysis. His work has been published in leading journals, including the American Political Science Review, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the Yale Law Journal, the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, and Political Analysis, and has been featured in several media outlets.
