The mission of FINCA International is to provide financial services to the world's lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living. Founded in 1994, FINCA Ecuador's clients are primarily mothers who are often the key breadwinners in their families. In terms of economic activity, 75 percent are involved in commerce and restaurants, nine percent work in manufacturing or production, nine percent in services, four percent in agriculture and four percent in other businesses. FINCA Ecuador's clients have accumulated the largest pool of savings from business operations in the entire FINCA network.
