In Foreign Policy: Social Distancing Will Have to Look Very Different in Poor Countries
Yale researchers Mushfiq Mobarak and Zachary Barnett-Howell argue in their Foreign Policy op-ed that social distancing may do more harm than good in low-income countries due to "demographic composition, the source of people’s livelihoods, and institutional capacity." They cite IPA's ongoing work in Bangladesh, along data from Nepal, on how COVID is affecting people's lives and livelihoods in those countries.
