Ford Foundation Highlights Partnership with IPA's USHFI; CDCUs 'Critical' to Financial Service Strategy

The website CUinsight.com, which is dedicated to the credit union community, posted a press release from the Ford Foundation about the Foundation's collaboration with IPA through the U.S. Household Finance Initiative (USHFI), which has funded seven organizations - including three credit unions - to expand access to products that help households make better financial decisions, escape cycles of debt, build assets and achieve financial resiliency. The press release noted that "community development credit unions (CDCUs) play [a critical role] in empowering low- and moderate-income communities across the nation."
