The Economist reviews a number of IPA projects on savings products for the poor, particularly commitment savings, which allow users to put away money where they can't access it until a predetermined time or goal is achieved. The article mentions a number of variations IPA has evaluated, from the Philippines, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya and Rome.
