IPA Tanzania Participates in Making Finance Work for Women Summit
CGAP's Womens Financial Inclusion Community of Practice, in partnership with the "Making Finance Work for Women Summit", organized a panel and discussion in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania geared towards financial service providers, exploring solutions that are being tested to address constraints such as lack of trust, self-confidence and limited decision making power, using both social networks and other innovative design features. IPA Tanzania Country Representative Rachel Steinacher presented the findings from the growing body of evidence that demonstrates the impact of inclusive product design, the limitations to achieving norm change through product design alone, and the opportunity to leverage financial inclusion for transformative change.
