IPA signs MOU with Bangladesh's access to information (a2i) division
To eradicate poverty and achieve sustainable development goal, the Prime Minister Office’s access to information (a2i) division is working tirelessly to implement various programs with the help of information technology. On 11 April, there was an MOU signing between Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and a2i to evaluate the impacts of these programs in addition to the services provided by the government to the people through research and assessment. The ceremony took place at the prime ministers SSF briefing room where the director general of prime minister’s office and a2i program director Kabir Bin Anwar and Innovations for Poverty Action's Country Representative Mohammad Ashraful Haque signed the documents respectively. The MOU signals a dialogue for a long term collaboration for conducting regular impact evaluations, arranging policy briefing seminars, and organizing trainings on RCTs and impact evaluation to make evaluation popular within the government. Dr Ramiz Uddin, M& E Analyst and Head of Results Management, a2i, Shaila Khan, Assistant Country Director, UNDP, Pushpita Saha, Project Assistant, a2i, Mostafizur Rahman Khan, Research and Documentation Expert, a2i, Md. Alamgir Kabir, Senior Operations Manager, IPAB, Nusrat Jahan, Research Coordinator, IPAB were also present at the ceremony.
