IPA Philippines Hosts Design Workshop for Nimble Experimentation on Digital Financial Inclusion
On June 28, IPA Philippines conducted a virtual design workshop with key stakeholders and implementing partners to assess and refine treatment prototypes for the Nimble Experimentation on Digital Financial Inclusion project. This exercise helped ensure that the experiment designs are relevant and feasible to implement under a short-term proof-of-concept project. The experiments are mainly focused on information treatments that promote take-up and usage of the newly opened digital financial accounts as a result of the government's digitized distribution of the Social Amelioration Program emergency cash subsidy. IPA engaged with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and GCash (financial service provider). Ma Isabel Fernandez (Research Associate, IPA Philippines) moderated the design workshop.
