IPA Philippines Co-Hosts Three Workshops on Impact Evaluations
From March 3-5, IPA Philippines and Australia National University (ANU) co-hosted three introductory impact evaluation workshops in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The workshops aimed to inform audiences from Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (on March 3); international organizations, NGOs and think tanks (on March 4); and Papua New Guinea government officials (on March 5). The overall objective of these workshops was to introduce impact evaluation processes and methods, with a focus on randomized evaluations, encouraging increased use of rigorous evidence in development policymaking and programming in Papua New Guinea. Speakers for all three workshops included Peter Srouji and Yuna Liang (IPA), Farah Amalia (J-PAL), and Luke McKenzie (ANU).
