IPA Peru Co-Hosts Dissemination Event on Scaling Financial Education through Technology
On February 18, IPA, Fundación Capital and the Centro de Investigación de la Universidad del Pacífico will co-host a three-part event featuring results from a randomized evaluation of Fundacion Capital's LISTA para ahorrar Program.
With the aim of improving welfare among vulnerable groups, many public and private actors have focused on expanding the financial capabilities of this segment, leveraging the increased customization that digital solutions offer. In this event, Fundación Capital will provide an overview of the experience with the innovative educational app LISTA, the support provided by Principal Investigator Matthew Bird, and IPA's support during the evaluation and learning agenda set up around this initiative. Through a series of interactive presentations, the audience will learn how to co-create a program that successfully contributes to the learning among the most vulnerable as well as the institutions dedicated to serving them effectively. The LISTA experience illustrates possible avenues to incorporate evidence in the learning of institutions interested in bringing their programs to scale.
