Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) Kenya has been supporting the Ministry of Education (MoE) to establish the Education Evidence Hub (EEH). The EEH aims to build long-term internal capacity within the Ministry to collect and act on high-quality data to design, adapt, and more effectively target education programs and policies. The EEH is included in the National Education Sector Strategic Plan 2023-2027. Since 2021, IPA has convened several consultative meetings that led to the development of validated Terms of Reference, a guiding framework, and a draft EEH strategy anchored on lessons learned from other countries with active embedded evidence labs.

IPA Kenya co-hosted a workshop to present the EEH Vision and Implementation Plan. This workshop was attended by the Principal Secretaries of the three State Departments of the Ministry of Education, other MoE officials, Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs), and non-state education actors.
