IPA Kenya Hosts and Participates in Review of National Women Economic Empowerment Policy
From February 14-18, IPA Kenya participated in the final workshop to review the National Women Economic Empowerment Policy (NPWEE) at Sawela Lodges in Naivasha. The Policy aims at streamlining and strengthening coordination, partnership, and resource mobilization for women's economic empowerment. IPA Kenya made evidence-based suggestions to enrich the document around possible interventions to consider by reviewing rigorous evidence related to the topics like the unpaid care work which were included in the policy review and applied to the document. The NPWEE is now complete and is expected to be approved by the Cabinet and presented to Parliament before the next elections.
