The event will gather policymakers, researchers and civil society to discuss proven interventions in contexts of conflict and post-conflict and how lessons from these experiences can be incorporated into policy. The conference will be divided in three thematic panels. The first panel will focus on evaluation results of interventions in the labor sector, crime and illicit crops eradication relevant to the Colombian context. Jul 28 Introduction to Impact Evaluation Training Workshop Post Teaser Text IPA Philippines hosted a two day training workshop on Impact Evaluation with the Department of Education from July 28 to 29, 2015.The training workshop was attended by various divisions under the Department of Education and Education partner organizations such as the Early Childhood Care and Development Council, Technical Institute for Women in Cebu, Dynamic Teen Corporation and Porticus Asia.Prathap Kasina, Maya Escueta (JPAL SA), Dr. Jul 13 Food Constraints Study Presented to Cargill Learning Journey Post Teaser Text Rachel Levenson (Senior Project Associate, IPA Zambia) presented on the Food Constraints study as part of a Cargill learning tour.The study examined the impact of food or cash loans during lean seasons on smallholder farmers in Zambia, finding that there was high take-up of the loans, and that villages where loans were offered saw an increase in food consumption, a decline in the number of households engaging in casual day labor, and an increase in wages for those who did engage in casual labor.
