Dean Karlan (Yale; President, IPA; Chair, J-PAL's Finance Sector) presented the results of the Graduating the Ultra-Poor studies during a conference hosted by IPA, J-PAL LAC, the Ministry of Finance of Peru, and Plan International at Pacífico University in Lima.Dean presented results from the six-country study, with a focus on the Peru evaluation.Plan International discussed their experience in implementing the model, as well as lessons and next steps from evaluation results.

IPA Kenya signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kenyan Government’s Vision 2030 Program.Vision 2030 is an initiative of the Kenyan government that aims to transform Kenya into a newly industrializing, middle-income country by 2030 through economic, social, and political development.Vision 2030 and IPA will collaborate on research outreach and public policy forums, particularly on themes related to the sustainable development goals.
