On October 28, IPA and Youth Impact presented mEducation at the virtual Consultative Conference of the Circle of Innovators for Learning (CIL) Coordinators and Advocates of the Department of Education. Participants are from the DepEd Regional and Division CIL Coordinators. The webinar showcased different programs on education innovation initiatives from different educational institutions, DepEd, and partner organizations of the Department. Rene Marlon Panti (IPA Philippines Research Coordinator) and Colin Crossley (Youth Impact, ConnectEd Program Manager) provided an overview of the mEducation program and shared key findings from the IPA Tutor Arm and DepEd Teacher Arm of the program. They highlighted the strong evidence of the math phone-based tutoring program and identified possible pathways for DepEd to scale up program implementation to reach more learners. IPA and Youth Impact will continue collaborating with DepEd in providing technical assistance in adapting the program to their own systems.
