Jessical Kiessel (Chief Program Officer, IPA) and Noor Iqbal (Senior Policy Associate, J-PAL Global) spoke on a panel titled "Beyond Grant Proposals: How Organizations Can Learn from Monitoring and Evaluation" at the 11th Annual NYU Wagner International Public Service Association Conference on May 2. The panel included representatives from 3ie and monitoring and evaluation specialists from several NGOs. Discussion centered around several questions about how policymakers and implementers can learn from evaluation, how inconclusive evaluations can still be useful, and how organizations can use evaluations to maximize the effectiveness of operations outside the program being evaluated.
