If you answered A, B, or D, the correct answer is actually C: Innovations for Poverty Elimination.
As much as we are working towards the elimination of poverty, the only name on this list we’ve never officially used is “Innovations for Poverty Elimination.”
IPA was originally incorporated on November 14, 2002, in New Jersey as “Development Innovations, a New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation,” before changing it to “Innovations for Poverty Action, a New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation” in 2003. In 2013, we updated our name to drop the reference to the Garden State, as our work has always reached far beyond the 7,352.9 square miles of New Jersey. “Innovations for Poverty Action, A Nonprofit Corporation” remains our full name to this day—though most know us simply as Innovations for Poverty Action, or IPA.
