Over the past five years, IPA's Human Trafficking Research Initiative (HTRI) has supported rigorous research to understand what works—and what doesn't—in combating human trafficking. During this webinar, Jeni Sorensen (Deputy Director, Sector Programs and Program Director, HTRI) and Alina Bitran (Associate Program Director, HTRI) shared key findings from this evidence base, including:

  • Promising interventions and interventions with low or mixed effectiveness to help inform programmatic decisions
  • Conditions that shape effectiveness, including understanding when and why interventions succeed
  • Emerging lessons from HTRI-funded projects
  • Priority research gaps that still need to be addressed

This webinar provided valuable insights to researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and funders working to combat human trafficking, informing evidence-based programming and future research priorities.
