On March 8, IPA Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of the Philippines School of Economics (UPSE) to formalize a partnership in research, student fellowship, and evidence-sharing. The priorities of the MOU include undertaking collaborative research involving IPA-affiliated and UPSE-affiliated researchers to make studies locally grounded; developing a student fellowship program to provide opportunities to learn hands-on fieldwork and gain exposure; and hosting knowledge-sharing events to present the latest research developments related to the Philippines Socioeconomic Panel Survey and beyond. IPA Philippines Country Director Aftab Opel and UP School of Economics Dean Ma. Joy Abrenica signed the MOU at the UP School of Economics, Diliman, Quezon City.
