From October 19-21, 2026, IPA will convene the sixth Embedded Evidence Lab Cross-Country Learning Exchange (CCLE) in Abidjan, in collaboration with Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education.

Held in Francophone Africa for the first time, the exchange will bring together government representatives, Evidence Lab teams, researchers, technical and financial partners, and IPA’s country and global teams, with participants from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Participants will share experiences on institutionalizing evidence use, strengthening government capacity, navigating institutional and political change, and adapting the Lab model to different policy contexts. Côte d’Ivoire’s Education Evidence Lab will contribute its experience to these discussions, creating an opportunity to examine what has worked, what challenges remain, and what other governments can adapt to their own contexts.

The CCLE is part of IPA’s broader commitment to building government capacity and embedding data and evidence into everyday decision-making processes. The Embedded Evidence Lab program currently partners with government agencies in over a dozen countries and sectors, including education, finance, social protection, and gender, among others.
