Today's session is all about exploring new ideas and new potential partnerships between microfinance institutions and researchers.

We circulated a "call for ideas" ahead of the conference and received dozens of submissions from around the world - from academics looking for partners to implement new studies, and microfinance institutions looking to evaluate new or existing projects. Eight ideas were selected to be presented today.

The aim of the day is to plant some seeds and encourage collaboration on implementing innovations and research projects.
