Overview
The Ministry of Education (MoE) is hosting the 2024 National Education Week to reflect on the transformation of the education sector in Ghana, focusing on progress since 2017. As part of this week-long event, the Ministry, in collaboration with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), is hosting the Evidence Summit 2024 which will be held on November 20th, to create a platform for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to share and discuss evidence-based practices that can drive improvements in education policies and implementation. The summit will highlight research on key government initiatives, such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, STEM and ICT curriculum reforms, and the TVET education system, among others.
Call for Papers
The Evidence Summit is calling for submissions of high-quality research and evaluations that align with the following themes:
- Innovative Pedagogies in Early Years: Focus on improving learning at the KG level and enhancing school readiness.
- Innovative Pedagogies & Foundational Learning: Address bridging learning gaps and improving learning outcomes, with an emphasis on Differentiated Learning (DL).
- Gender and Inclusive Programs in Education: Showcase interventions promoting inclusivity across all levels of education.
- Technology in Education: Assess evidence-based EdTech programs and share best practices.
- Government Flagship Programs: Examine the impact of programs like Free SHS, TVET, and STEM/SMART schools.
