Yazen Kashlan helps a team of economists analyze results from a four-country randomized controlled trial in the Sahel. They seek to evaluate the added benefit of productive interventions on the wellbeing and economic stability of safety net beneficiaries. As of February 2020, he has been a visiting researcher at Northwestern University. Before joining IPA, Yazen worked as a research assistant for Professor Asim Khwaja at Harvard University and before that for Professors Megan Konar and Praveen Kumar at the University of Illinois at Urbana. He holds an MS and a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana.
