Sayan is a Senior Research Associate with IPA Liberia, working on the Intimate Partner Violence project in collaboration with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Monrovia. Prior to moving to his current project Sayan has worked with IPA in Namibia and JPAL South Asia in Bhubaneswar, India. Academically, Sayan has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Presidency College, Kolkata and a Masters in Public Policy and Political Economy from Rutgers University, USA in student-exchange-collaboration with Princeton University, USA. Sayan's personal research interests lies with political economy of fragile institutions in post-conflict states.
