Oriana Ponta manages IPA's operations in Mexico, is a co-investigator and coordinator for the project "Violence Against Women Screening in Mexico" and a lecturer on Impact Evaluation at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She is currently transitioning to the Small and Medium Enterprise program team and will continue to be closely involved in our efforts in Latin America. Prior to joining IPA in 2014, Oriana worked and researched for five years in the areas of public health and policy evaluation at ETH Zurich, World Bank, German Cancer Research Center and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She holds a PhD in Economics from ETH Zurich and an MSc in Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Heidelberg in Germany.
