Mir Rafiat Salman is a Senior Research Associate at IPA Bangladesh managing all the Ready-Made Garments projects primarily run by professor Christopher Woodruff from the University of Oxford. The series of projects look into the impact of different types of training or other interventions on firm and individual productivity along with worker well-being. Most of the programs look closely into the challenges for women workers moving up the hierarchy. He has worked in the garment sector in Bangladesh for two years prior to joining IPA in 2013. Mir has more than eight years of experience in the social development sector, specializing in project management design & implementation, monitoring & evaluation (ME), data work, data collection & research design, and research dissemination & reporting. He has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently auditing micro-masters courses at MIT.
