Kate is an attorney in the Legal Department. Prior to IPA, she worked at New Haven Legal Assistance and interned with The Honorable Stefan R. Underhill, United States District Judge for the District of Connecticut, the ACLU of Connecticut, and the Federal Defender’s Office for the District of Connecticut. She represented asylum applicants through the University of Connecticut Asylum and Human Rights Clinic and Special Immigrant Visa applicants through the International Refugee Assistance Program. Prior to her legal career, Kate spent 15 years in management roles at Save the Children. She has a BA from Villanova University, an MA in Diplomacy from Norwich University, and a JD, with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
