Hugo Gerard coordinates IPA's mobile money projects, working with leading academics to study the adoption and use of mobile money in developing countries. He is responsible for analyzing and extracting insights from large scale telecommunication datasets. Prior to joining IPA, Hugo was a Senior Research Economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia. He has an MSc in Economics from Popeu Fabra University and a BA of Economic (Hons) and Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Sydney.
