Felipe is currently a Senior Research Associate for the project Understanding Gang Recruitment in Medellin, Colombia. He has held positions at IPA as an Associate, Analyst, and Intern supporting projects such as  Financial Education and Intimate Partner Violence: Evidence from Colombia during COVID-19, The Impact of Emergency Cash Assistance During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Colombia, and The Impact of Military Policing Program in Colombia. Before joining IPA, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant in sociology, focusing on inequalities in higher education using social network analysis. Felipe holds an MA and BA in Economics with a Sociology minor from Universidad de los Andes.
