Maarten Voors is an Assistant Professor at the Development Economics Group (DEC) at Wageningen University. He received his PhD from Wageningen University in 2011 (with honors) and was an Isaac Newton Trust Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge 2011-2013. His research focuses on institutions, (post-conflict) development and behavior. I use a variety of methods including surveys, lab, and field experiments and econometric analysis. My field research has centered around Burundi, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and DRC. Recent projects include field experiments on formal and informal institutions in development and the role of social networks in technology adoption.
