Rebecca Klege is a PhD candidate at the School of Economics and a researcher at the Environmental Policy Research Unit, University of Cape Town. Before enrolling into a Doctoral program, she worked with a team of researchers at the United Nations University - Institute of Natural Resources for Africa (UNU-INRA) in Ghana. She also has adequate experience in designing experimental solutions for Energy and environmental goods through behavioural nudges and Randomized Control Trials. Recently, Rebecca has been spear heading the design and implementation of a series of lab experiments in rural Rwanda focusing on Gender, Energy, Entrepreneurship and Behavioural Preferences as part of her PhD research. Her research interests include micro-econometrics, experimental economics, energy, global environmental and gender related issues. She is currently working under the supervision of Prof. Martine Visser.
