Andrew Dillon is the Scientific Advisor for IPA's Francophone West Africa country offices and the Academic Lead for IPA’s Research Methods Initiative. He is a development economist whose research focuses on how improving productivity increases welfare in low- and middle-income countries and the methods and measures that applied development economists use in estimating causal relationships. His current research focuses on productivity-enhancing investments that agricultural households may make in health and nutrition, new agricultural technologies, and education. His ongoing projects are currently being implemented with government, private sector firms, and NGOs in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Nigeria.
