On October 31, 2024 IPA Uganda and the Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development (MoGLSD) co-hosted an event to formalize partnership and collaboration by officially signing a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The signing ceremony was attended by over 30 representatives from both IPA and the Ministry and marked a commitment to generating and leveraging evidence for impactful and sustainable gender equitable solutions. The two parties also agreed on a detailed work plan which will be tracked through co-hosting periodic reflection workshops and reporting on progress made through the partnership.

The MOU signing builds on two years of fruitful collaboration in which IPA has gained insights into the ministry's priorities and the ministry has appreciated IPA’s expertise in discovering and advancing what works to improve the lives of people living in poverty. The MOU formalizes our joint commitment to build a results-focused culture of learning and continuous improvement in the fight against poverty.
