Shaikh has worked on different public health projects in Bangladesh for seven years as a qualitative researcher. He has worked at Action Contre la Faim (ACF) in Cox's Bazar as a qualitative survey manager to evaluate the MHPSS program for Rohingya mothers. He also worked as a senior research associate at places like the BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University. He holds a Master of Medical Science in Public Health from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He is also an Anthropologist by training. In his free time, he enjoys reading and traveling, and has a passion for understanding distinct cultures and ways of life.
