André works as a Research Analyst at IPA Perú. He is currently working on a project about the impact of price comparison tools in consumer credit markets on financial decision-making in Chile. Previously, he worked on evaluating the effects of a coding program on the computational thinking skills of second-grade students in Paraguay. He started at IPA as a Research Intern, working on an intervention aimed at increasing female enrollment rates for STEM careers in Costa Rica. André holds a BA in Economics from the Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad. His research interests lie at the intersection of political economy and development economics, with a focus on economic history.
