Professor Gituro Wainaina is a PhD holder in Agricultural Economics, Master in Business Administration and Bachelor of Education. He has extensive working experience with such organizations as the World Bank, where he was a Senior Educational Economist, CARE International in Kenya where he was the Regional Coordinator, University of Nairobi Enterprises and Services Limited where he was the Deputy Managing Director and the Business Development Manager. In addition, Professor Wainaina has been Director of the Social and Political Pillars under the Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat, a board member of Capital Market Authority, and a board committee member at Management University of Africa.

Currently, Professor Wainaina is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management Science. His research interest areas are water harvesting and management, financing of education, and capacity development for effective implementation of Kenya Vision 2030.
