On December 2, IPA Philippines hosted a virtual roundtable discussion with the DSWD (Philippines) and a2i (Bangladesh) to discuss and share learnings in the implementation of digital Government-to-Person (G2P) cash transfers. This event was held to facilitate cross-learning across these two countries with similar G2P program implementation strategies. Representatives from G2P implementation Ministries of both countries discussed how existing evidence could inform G2P policies in both countries and identify challenges and opportunities for programmatic improvement in future G2P benefit programs. Kathryn Glynn-Broderick (Assistant Director, Financial Inclusion Program) presented the key results of the recent G2P studies in Bangladesh and the Philippines, Nassreena Sampaco-Baddiri (IPA Philippines Country Director) moderated the event.
