Dr. Nzinga H. Broussard is a research associate for IMPAQ International. She received a joint doctoral degree in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Michigan. Dr. Broussard has conducted research in the fields of development, agriculture, and labor economics. Her research projects have explored the dynamics of poverty and the role of social safety nets in helping households escape poverty in rural Ethiopia and the effects of international immigration on the labor markets in developing countries. In particular, her research has focused on food aid and health outcomes, food aid targeting, youth labor market issues, fertility, and international immigration.

Dr. Broussard has taught at Claremont McKenna College and spent four months in Ethiopia as a visiting fellow for the International Growth Centre. Prior to her position at IMPAQ International she held a fellowship at the Ohio State University.
