Darin Christensen

Darin Christensen studies the causes and consequences of political violence and the institutions and policies that promote public goods provision in the Global South, working primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. He uses field experiments co-designed with local partners across the region. His research has appeared in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, International Organization, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and M.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an A.B. from Duke University.
