Rachel Strohm is the Associate Director of the Social Protection Program at IPA, where she manages a portfolio of rigorous evaluations of social safety net and livelihoods programs around the world. She previously worked as a Research Manager with IPA in the U.S. and Ghana, focused on financial inclusion and agricultural research. She is also the co-founder of the Mawazo Institute, a nonprofit research institute in Kenya that supports research by East African women. Rachel holds a BA in Geography and French from Dartmouth College, an MA in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and an MA in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
