Bio Info

I am a PhD candidate and a Graduate Student Instructor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California at Berkeley. I hold a Master in Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC Berkeley and a Master in Economics from Universidad de San Andres (Buenos Aires, Argentina). I completed my undergraduate studies in economics at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru.

My research interests lie in the intersection between development economics and political economy. My dissertation studies the political effects of resource abundance in Peru. Before joining Berkeley, I was a Junior Professional Associate with the World Bank in Washington, DC, where I was involved in research projects on poverty, inequality, malnutrition, pensions and labor markets for several Latin American countries. In Peru, I was a researcher with the Centro de Estudios para el Desarrollo y la Participacion (CEDEP) and a consultant with the Special Commission of Disability Studies of the Congress of Peru.
