Sophie Ayling has been with IPA Peru since April 2013. She has primarily been overseeing the implementation of the RCT Financial Inclusion for the Rural Poor working with 12,000 beneficiaries of the Peruvian National Cash Transfer Programme, JUNTOS. The four Principal Investigators on this project are Paul Gertler, Sebastian Galiani, Alberto Chong and Ursula Aldana. More recently she has been in charge of a preliminary study to explore potential interventions for RCTs targeted at addressing the impacts of illegal mining in the Madre de Dios region of the Peruvian Amazon. She has a BA from Oxford University in Modern History and Politics and an MSc from University College London in Development Administration and Planning.
