Go Shimada is an Associate Professor at Meiji University, Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, Visiting Scholar at JICA Research Institute, and an Adjunct Researcher at Waseda University. Prior to this, Dr. Shimada was Associate Professor, University of Shizuoka, and worked for JICA for more than two decades in the following roles: as Senior Research Fellow, JICA Research Institute; Director, Trade and Investment Division, Department of Industrial Development; Special Assistant to the President, Office of the President; and First Secretary, Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations, New York. He has a PhD from Waseda University and an MA in economics from the University of Manchester.
